The rules for using the Jewish Changemakers portal and taking part in its community.
Effective October 8, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Jewish Changemakers portal (the "portal"). The portal is operated by The Jewish Federations of North America, Inc. ("JFNA," "we," "us"). By applying, registering, creating an account or otherwise using the portal, you agree to these Terms, the Jewish Changemakers Code of Conduct and our Privacy Policy.
These Terms add portal-specific rules to JFNA's own Terms of Use, which are linked at the end of this page and also apply. If the two conflict, these Terms govern your use of the portal.
The public pages are open to anyone. The signed-in portal is for people JFNA has invited or accepted into a Jewish Changemakers program: fellows, alumni, faculty and staff. You must be at least 18 to use the portal. Each program also sets its own eligibility requirements, such as age and where you live, which are described in its application.
The member directory and the portal's boards (discussion boards, study reflection boards and the Asks & Offers board) are there so participants can learn from and support each other. When you use them, follow the Code of Conduct and these rules:
You keep ownership of what you post or submit, such as profile details, posts, replies, reflections and application answers. By posting or submitting it, you give JFNA permission to store, display, copy and share it as needed to run the portal and the program. That includes showing it to the people who can see the board you posted on, keeping it in JFNA's records, and using it to evaluate and improve our programs. JFNA's Terms of Use describe further rights you grant JFNA in content you submit to its sites.
You are responsible for what you post. JFNA staff may hide posts that break these Terms or the Code of Conduct, and faculty may flag posts for staff to review. You can remove your own posts and replies. Study reflections stay, because they record that you completed the study. Removed or hidden content may stay in our records.
Session content, study materials, videos, readings and other program materials belong to JFNA or its partners and licensors. You may use them for your own participation in the program. Don't copy, sell, publish or share them outside the portal without JFNA's written permission.
The portal connects to services that others run, including Zoom for online sessions and YouTube and Vimeo for videos, and it may link to other websites. Their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services, and JFNA isn't responsible for them.
By applying or creating an account, you agree that we may email you about your account, your applications and the programs you take part in. You can manage optional emails in your profile, as described in the Privacy Policy.
JFNA may suspend or end your access to the portal, or to parts of it, at any time. Reasons include breaking these Terms or the Code of Conduct, the end of your participation in a program, and protecting the community or the portal. Alumni access is provided at JFNA's discretion and may change.
The portal is provided "as is" and "as available," and JFNA does not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. JFNA's Terms of Use set out the disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law and dispute resolution terms, and those apply to your use of the portal.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If we make a significant change, we will let you know through the portal or by email. If you keep using the portal after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
